I love this photo. I think I love it for reasons that have something to do with the composition. I don’t know quite what’s happening here, though.
Later: It’s also the cropping, and—here is where my own bullshit detector starts to ding—a sort of implied conversation between the two images. By themselves, the photos are merely nice. And I’m reminded of V Woolf’s To The Lighthouse, that last section where all the human characters are parenthetical.
Am I remembering that right?
